Hildegard Music Festival performance and recent events

Hi, I thought I would update everybody on some recent events in my corner of the world: performances, online updates, etc.

PERFORMANCES: I'm about to go onstage to sing as soloist at Snider Hall at the Hildegard Music Festival, this year hosted by California State University Stanislaus. The Hildegard Festival honors women in the arts. I will be performing an aria by Dr. Beverly Grigsby, "The Lady's Lament" (which I debuted in Sept. of 2014), from Grigsby's new opera "TESTIMONIES - The Retrial of Joan of Arc." I'm also singing three selections by Alma Mahler, songs which were published in the early 1900's by this accomplished female composer.

I sang two other solo engagements this week, each was an opening ceremony for Divaldo Franco, the celebrated spiritist and lecturer. Selections for those shows included Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Pié Jesu" and Shubert's "Ave Maria." It's been quite a busy week as all of the pieces named in this entry have been added to my repertoir for this week's performances.

WEBSITE: Lots of updates to the site include link icons to my online radio stations at Jango Radio and Songza, and to iTunes, so it's easier to find how to hear and buy my music with a quick glance at the website. Trying to make it easier for my audiences and website visitors. Oh, there's also a new Audio page so you can listen to my music right here on the site.

Thanks to my fans for the many listens and watches on YouTube and FaceBook and Twitter, etc. As always, your support and loyalty are wonderful gifts to me.

And please drop me a line on here, Twitter, or Instagram. I love hearing back from you all. Music is a two-way street, especially these days!

Love and Light, -Valerie Miller
