Happy New Year, 2015. I've been on the road a lot for the holidays and for performances, so here's an update. 

3 HOLIDAY CONCERTS, 2014: It was loads of fun to sing soprano solo in 3 holiday concerts titled "Gloria!" with the "Viva La Musica!" orchestra and choir. Hi All. It took a while to post this entry as I've been busy letting friends and family know about the album being online. Everyone's been so supportive along the way. Anyway, it's on iTunes, now, so that's pretty much "official!" 

I wanted to mention that I'll be soloing in a holiday concert with Viva La Musica! on the 29th (see Calendar), and then a few dates in December, too. I also read an LA Times review of Renée Fleming's Christmas album- sounds interesting. Until next time. -Valerie Miller

Hi, Everyone. After many long days, and some long nights, we finished preping the album "Valerie" for release online. It will be available SOON for the holiday season, everywhere music is sold online. I will let you know when it goes live for sale at CDBaby, iTunes, etc. Whew, I've gone digital!

On Sept. 19 I had the honor of debuting the aria "The Lady's Lament" from Dr. Beverly P. Grigsby's new opera, "TESTIMONIES - The Retrial of Joan of Arc," at California State University, Northridge, where she is Distinguished Professor Emerita.  

Paul Hurst accompanied me on piano. Beverly wrote this part for me, and it was a thrill to work with her and Paul. Working together we made the aria's melody even more beautiful and it was fun to work on originating this role.

I'm en route tomorrow to perform The Lady's Lament, the aria Dr. Beverly Grigsby wrote for me in her new opera, "TESTIMONIES - The Retrial of Joan of Arc." I'm really pleased with singing it; it's a great aria. I'll try to get some snapshots to share here on the website. This new opera is going to be phenomenal; very exiting! -Valerie Miller
